The first tri

So we think that we're at about 8 weeks into the pregnancy. We're not exactly sure. But go back to the 26th of July, because that's when the procedure was done. Now it's Sept 20th. So far so good.

We haven't told very many people. We were just in NJ visiting my cousin. There's no way we're going to tell her. The news would spread as fast as the speed of a mouse click or the speed dial on the phone. The only limiting factor would be the speed of her thought process. HA!

We told her husband though. We know he can keep a secret. And he was ecstatic for us. We told him on the ride home on the AMTRAK from NY the day we went to the US OPEN. It was a hot day in NY, a little muggy. The food was unbelievably expensive. 3 USD for a 500ml of bottled water. WOW. US dollars must grow on trees. Cause we have to go to the bank and pay a heft price for their greenback.

We hooked up with our American roommate from N.Y. outside of Saks Fifth, outside on 5th Ave for lunch and to catch up for the last 2 years. She asked us what we bought so far today. Which was kind of ironic because we'd gone to Old Navy to get a maternity outfit there that wasn't exactly on sale, but it was cheap and we didn't have it in Canada. So we told her we had gotten some maternity clothes. I wasn't sure about spreading the news, but we're so happy to be where we are right now in our lives that we had to share it with the person who happened to be there when we first got engaged in Thailand. And it seem only fitting that we tell her in person and not via a mass email. Or even a personal email. Of course Tresa was the one that gave the go ahead. I've learned to look first for the go ahead, before jumping in.

Tresa's starting to feel the effects of morning sickness, but it comes and goes. It comes in the morning as a headache and dizziness and then some light nausea during the day and then goes at night before bed as a spinning room. Probably like the way I felt when Chris and I went on all the rollercoster rides at Six Flags.
