Earth Hour intermission

Earth hour was last night.
1 hr of no power.

Normally we go out with our day care ladies and their kids and walk around the Bloor West. But there was a leaf game on. So I turned everything off and recorded the game.

We turned out the power. And lit some candles. And a couple of old buddies came by to help us carry on some conversation and polish off a case of beer. I haven't seen these two together in one place since the Big Bop days. And both were too drunk to drive home.

And right when the power came back on, the telecast was showing the leafs winning in OT. It was good game too. Too bad we knew the outcome. Ah well, Leafs Nation was pleased. Although there is no playoffs again this year. The Leafs have been completely overhauled. There is only one remaining leaf. And he's their best puck moving defense man. And he scored the tying goal with minutes remaining from an impossible angle.
