Wedding in Stuttgart
We left for Stuttgart on Wed May 21. Taking the tram to Centraal Station and hopping on the train to the airport. We did not anticipate the long line to get a train ticket and we were now rushing to catch our flight.
It was a relatively long travel day even though Amsterdam is fairly close to Stuttgart since we did not have a direct flight to Stuttgart from Amsterdam.
But a cheaper flight had us going through Paris - CDG airport and enroute to Stuttgart.
So I took my in flight beverage and had a Heineken to help me relax after the stress of getting to the airport.
On the Paris to Stuttgart flight I think I had another bottle of wine. I'm trying to find the photo and I don't think I took one.
So we are all here in Stuttgart for these two.
It wasn't long ago that we just met both of them for the very first time...flashback to 2005 and last September 2007:
Birmingham Feb 2005
Toronto Sept 2007
It was a beautiful day, beautiful church and ceremony (although I was outside with Kieran, I saw some photos that Simon took and it was beautiful) and the reception was really amazing, it was done in 3 languages. Very well done! We had an amazing time. Everyone we met were awesome. It was so different from the North American flavour of weddings and receptions.
We also came to visit these two on the right. They're Martin's parents. Neither speaks english very well, but there were lots of 'learn english' books in their house. Apparently Franc got them for a very good price. At least the intent was there. Hopefully my expanded Slovenian will encourage Franc to use his english books.
We also were happy to see Mike and his future wife (Merit) too.
He was pretty sad when Martin left to go back to Germany, see these photos when him and Martin visited us back in 2005.
Toronto March 2005
He's very happy now. Cuz he's no longer alone (with Heiko) and isn't wearing the bright pink shirt. And Heiko is married too. :)
We also got to finally meet 'the next in line to get married brother' - Daniel and his longtime girlfriend Katrina.
Tresa recognized him cause he looked like his mother.
There was also this gentleman who drove us from Martin's parents place to the church, and looked like the actor in the 'Green Mile' that played the older Tom Hanks at the beginning and end of the movie. Deman said that wasn't him, but I wanted a photo anyways just in case he was just trying to lay low from the paparazzi.
