Another Spring with COVID Birthday
Spring is here and COVID is still here. And probably here to stay unless something goes according to a plan. The vaccine is available but roll out is slow. I'm sure everyone has seen and heard the news, since there is nothing else going on.
But still we do the best we can with the situation at hand. Notice I didn't say 'must', and it's because it's a choice. Sitting around isn't going to do anything and since we cannot go out and about as we would like, we need to get creative and get thinking about what we can do, instead of complaining about what we cannot. It's your choice, you choose.
We can continue to learn. Learn how to do things that we'd always wanted to do. Get busy being creative and making stuff with what is around you. Whether it's cooking, baking or creating music or even re-organizing or giving something some TLC, anything. It's not hard to find something to do that will have a positive impact. You just need to look around you and start. And once you start, the energy will be addictive and turn that light bulb on even brighter.
We can certainly shop online and pick up local. And maybe reduce the amount we do buy since we cannot go out and be social, start thinking about reducing the waste we produce. We've gotten used to how easy we can obtain 'stuff'. But how much do we really 'need'? And do we need it next-day?
And more importantly we should celebrate those around us. Something we need do more often. Since being in lockdown, we are nothing if we cannot share our lives with others.
It was Tresa's birthday and creating a card that's unique every year is a challenge, but some theme seems to come up that inspires the outcome of the card. This year was no different. Somehow something comes to mind. The idea doesn't usually happen right away, but it's always something based on the reality we live in. I'm not that creative, so I gotta base it off something.
Not sure about other places, but we don't get flyers delivered anymore. I had to go online and print out flyers to cut out the text i needed. Then Kieran and I got to work on the inside of the card.
