Stairway to Done!

After getting the flooring done upstairs in 2020 and downstairs in 2015, what do we do with the stairs in between?  Sounds like a Dr Seuss story brewing.

In any case it was a case of trying to find someone to do the job and hoping for the best! Oh me, oh my!

It was a challenge getting someone to come provide a quote.  COVID had some thing to do with that.  Indeed it was, said the Cat with the hat.

The stairs was not something I was going to do.  This takes skill and craftsmanship that I just don't have.  Not even close, so I wasn't an option, or even a choice!

We thought we had it all lined up, COVID certainly had made prices jump, like the cow over the moon.  But what can you do, said Thing 1 to Thing 2.  Next thing we knew, the deal had fell through!

So now what?  Said Thing 2 to Thing 1.  Who are we gonna call? Who's gonna come?

We reached out to our good friend, and he set us up with one of his contacts again, two in fact.  And within a few months it was done.  Just like that!  All I wanted was for it to look like it always belonged, like it was always there.  And sure enough they delivered and finished it with care.
