A Me, Myself & I birthday

Another year, another lockdown.  With warmer weather coming, coupled with vaccine and ICU bed shortages, and people being cooped up for over a year now, the COVID numbers were trending in the wrong direction.

This time we got an amber alert on our phones that we are in the midst of a lockdown til May 19th.  Only essential items can be purchased during this time - that means food, pharmacies and alcohol.

Shops have moved to curbside pickup only.  As I go on my solo bike rides, I

take in all the closed shops.  And hope for the best for our economic future.   It's not like we have not been down this path before in history.  We have.  And we are still here and progressed.  The world has changed and we need to adjust.  That's all it is.

But we can still have birthdays and ice cream cake!  If there is one thing that is a constant in this world is that when things aren't going so well, an ice cold treat seems to make things a little better than it was.
