wow, Aquaman can't go again!

This is a quote from Maritess vs. the Superfriends.

It's done by a filipino comedian from California (or spelled phonetically cali-pornia).
If you're a landed filipino immigrant you'll find it funny. If you're an illegal filipino immigrant, it may go over your head. If you don't speak english or Taglish too well, you'll just see nice bright colours. ooooh-pretty.

Well we are now officially in October. And our 1st tri-mester ultra-sound is happening next Thurs Oct 5th. I'm excited, also kinda scared. I've been the youngest for so long. I'm not including nephews and neices cuz they don't have to share my bed. Even with Tresa, I'm younger. So now there'll be someone else to compete with in terms of attention. Ah that's okay I'll just go on the computer. And there's another bedroom too. My old bed. With the fake posturepedic mattress.

I've been reading about what's happening inside of Tresa's belly, and it's scary. Well scary cuz the book I'm reading is scaring the crap out of me. Don't do this, don't do that, take folic cuz it'll prevent birth defects, take zinc, don't diet, don't lift heavy objects, exercise, sleep. And the scariest things that I read. She'll gain 25-35 pounds and she won't have a desire for sex, with me. Wow. Scary. What do I do?

Tresa is now at 9 or 11 weeks. We're not sure.

This week was brutal. We had our most recent RIF (Reduction in Force). A lot of people that were my coworkers for the past 3+ years, are now gone. My original manager has been let go. Sun was kind, giving people 1 month for every year of service. Plus 2 weeks and I think vacation. In the beginning (3 years ago), the package was 1 month for every year of service, plus 2 months. So it was basically the same package.

So I'm still here at Sun. Still surviving. Trying to figure out where things are heading and maybe preparing myself for another move. It's a little different now that I'm married and have a kid on the way. But my overall focus on staying technical and gaining more experience - technical and leadership wise - is still the same. However, we're looking at other opportunities and exploring them.

We'll see how it goes.

On the bright side I went swimming today. Did only 8 lengths. But I came late and it's been well over a month since I went last.
