Look, Papa, I did it!
This was a week of firsts.
Kieran put on his clothes for school all by himself.
I instructed him to go put on his clothes that Tresa had laid out for him on the couch, while I went and got the trailer hooked up to the bicycle. I told him that if he wanted to go by bike instead of the car he had to help me by getting himself ready while I got the bike ready. So he said - 'okay'.
I was thinking that he would be calling me for help, but when I came back in, he was fully dressed and ready to go. I was impressed.
It was only after I dropped him off to school did I notice his shirt was inside out and backwards. And it was after school when he came home did we realize that his underwear was on sideways. Don't know how he did it, and I could only imagine that it was slightly uncomfortable and a little problematic to go pee with your underwear on the way he had it.
But he didn't complain. And his pants were dry, so he had no problem going to the washroom.
So I've been letting him dress himself every morning. And so far, I don't know how he does it. But everything is on backwards. At least he'll know where he's been.
I let the teacher and the assistants know that his clothes are on backwards. But they say - that's okay.
