World Cup runneth over

Kieran and I had just dropped Tresa off at the Marilyn Bell park athlete's area for the Dragonboat World Cup being held in Toronto.

Hey who's watching the baby?

I rode my bike down to the lake after I put Kieran down to sleep and asked our old polish neighbours to watch him.

It was past 7:30pm and he hadn't napped so he was probably down for the count.

Manu was looking everywhere for the baby.

Where's the baby? Where's Kieran. I have some coffee to give him.

Gord was just looking confused.
Who's calling me a baby?

Come sign with me

This was our last Wee Hands signing course. I had read on BabyBoomBoom that Melissa had taken a signing course with Dante. And I was also interested in doing a signing course way before Kieran was born, but never knew where to take one.

So I had come across one of Melissa's posts, where she had indicated that Dante had made the sign for milk.

It's been almost 5 weeks now since we first started taking the course and Kieran did his first sign.

He did the sign for "More".
This kid always wants more food. So it was probably the most repetitive thing he was seeing.

Our Wee Hands instructor Tracy was great. She really made the class pretty fun and not so much like a class. Even when the kids were just running around or eating each other's snacks, they were learning.

One of the kids was 20 months old and clearly signing especially for ice cream, crackers, car, cold, it was amazing to see him communicate using sign language.

Here Kieran is showing the sign for '2'. For two pieces of deli-meat that he's going to wolf down.

This was also the first class Tresa had attended with me.

Afterwards we visited our friend Fabian to get his opinion on Kieran's hair. Whether to cut it or not.
Well, he told us that the curls would be gone after the cut. But it could come back curly, it may not.

Then we were starving. King Slice is on Bloor St, just west of Dundas. They serve the biggest slices I've ever seen. And it was good too. I give it two thumbs up if you're in the area for 'Zza.

Back from the UK

The Ng's are back in town. We only got to see them for a couple of hours, but that's what typically happens when you have kids.

It's a rush-rush here, rush-rush there.

We actually had to rush off to somewhere else too.

Hopefully we'll get to see them in London some time soon. Maybe when it's freezing cold here in Toronto.

This is the Sears portrait special. Everyone that comes by sits on this couch for a photo.

Kieran really enjoyed playing with Brendan and Brittany.

See how much fun Brendan is having.
He wants to stay here forever!

And Thomas is right there consoling his son.
