Long term care

No more school.
This was a really old school that was converted to a long term geriatric care hospital, just down the road from us on Runnymede.

They built a brand new facility in the area that used to be like the backyard of the school. They held garage sales and stuff there. The hospital patients could hang out there amongst the trees and enjoy the outside. It was nice. But they needed a more updated facility.

The fences went up and here came the demolition crew and off to work they went knocking the old building down.

3 cranes working together, and bit by bit it all came down.
It was very cool to watch the progress every day.
I took photos from the car as we were stopped at the light at St John St. The images are from my iPhone. So complain to Apple about the quality. Yeah it sucks.

The hospital was in a residential neighbourhood so it needed to be done delicately.
I'm surprised it wasn't a historic building. It looked really old. But the city desperately needs newer hospitals. I'm more surprised that they didn't salvage more of the hospitals parts. They just pulled it all down and started hauling it away. Although I didn't see the dump trucks.

In about 7 business days it was down.
But the left the front steps just in case some one was looking for the old hospital.

Just be careful of that first step.
Hey I'm sure someone could've reused that A/C unit.
