Plus 20

It was the warmest March Break on record. It was just above freezing at the start of the week. And the lake was still frozen and there was a bit of snow left. So we made a snow bridge. I engineered this structure.

We did one day at Sir Sams and that was it. It was slushy, and we'd over dressed. You could have gone out with a t-shirt and it would have been fine. But by mid-week it was hitting the mid 20+ deg C. And it was warm. No more skiing for us. And Sir Sam's snow had melted away too.

But later in the week it was work time.
And we had a few big trees that were too close to the shacks cut down.

When this tree fell.  We heard it.  Cuz we were there.

And we have a Weiner!

I had bought some Raffle tickets to support my niece Indy's girls hockey league at Leaside. Every year, the draw day comes and nada.

I was expecting pretty much the same thing. And it was such a beautiful day I was hoping to do nothing except pray for a Professional Toronto Sports team WIN!

Well the win I was hoping for didn't happen. Two games and both losses. Pffft!  Instead there was an unexpected phone call and sure enough I WAS a WINNER!

Anyways I got the call saying that they had drawn my name for a prize.  So cool! But I had to drive across town to pick it up at Leaside arena.  Aw...not so cool.  It's not far as the crow flies, but that route would take forever by car.  And I had to get it by 3pm.  We had the time change and I had just gone to hockey for 8am DST and then went to take Kieran to his hockey.  I kinda didn't feel like driving again.  I wanted to eat lunch. I'm glad it was Sunday and the traffic was light.  I hadn't been out this way in a long time.  Usually because it's so busy.  And I only come this way to ride the Don Valley trails and I ride my bike across town.  It's just easier and probably takes the same amount of time.  And I get a work out.
I love riding my bike around the city.

But I got to stop by Enduro Sport, just to see what they had.  I asked about something, they didn't have it, and since I wasn't buying a Cervelo or carbon wheels, they left me alone.  Actually they ignored me.  I think I got snubbed.  It's okay.  I'd just won a prize, no one was going to steal my thunder, dang it!

So I get there and I'd won a gift basket from Neal Brothers. I didn't know what that was. But of course someone in our house knew what it was. And sure enough, she was right. I was an Organic Winner! There's coffee, salsa, sauce, pretzels and some organic cheese twists.

So I can eat organic junk food without doing harm to this temple of the 1 pack. It will extend my life by how long it takes me to finish all the food items.
It's pretty big. Bigger than I thought. My support of the girls Leaside hockey was rewarded, with organic tidings.  Guess the Prize value!

Glad I didn't get the Raptor pack or Leafs tickets for the playoffs (like that is going to happen, why I still watch them? I don't know).
Another disappointing year. Bah Humbug.

Sound of Music
