3 x Pi equals 20

I saw a bee this morning and thought. Today will be a good day.  I was picking berries and noticed a lot of flying bugs and wasps.  And thought.  Get outta here!

The berries were getting ripe and critters know it.  The sugars are attracting them to the food.

Bees however are workers and do so much good.  This guy was on a tomato plant.

It was our anniversary today.  Twenty (20) years.  Also known as The Pizza Pie anniversary.  So we went and ordered 3.  A Margherita, a Pizza Pi (spicy) and a Pepperoni to commemorate the date.

We'd never been to Pi Co. this was our first time.  They have this special oven that cooks the pizzas in minutes.   No 33mins or free thing.  This is probably 10mins from order to in the box and tap your card.

That's our Personal Pi Co pizza chef.  She actually gave us the Margherita for free!  After we told her we'd never been to a Pi Co. and Tresa told her it was our anniversary and our son was working.

Kieran was at work, so we got the pepperoni for him to eat once he got home.  So it was just the 2 of us and an empty Pi Co. and 2 cherry pops.  No expense was too much for this dude!

We'd just got back from IKEA.  Coulda been pics of Swedish meatballs and a ligonberry sundae.

I had to go back this morning to get the item that was out of stock, but I got an email that it was IN STOCK this morning with QTY 16 and at noon it was again OUT OF STOCK.  Holy moley did I get lucky by going there when it opened.  So I got myself a hotdog and a coffee.  $2.10.  Cray-gee deals.  Having still some change I went to get Portuguese egg-tarts.

You can't tell. but we both got our hair done.  Mine's under my hat.  I still have some.

Didn't know what to expect from this place.  They have an app to order a pizza. It's a nice place.  Quite a step up from Dominos and Pizza Pizza.  That's the pizza oven at the back there.  It has a rotating base so you load the pizza in and in 1 rotation it's baked Neapolitan style.  nice crust, great sauce.  Was yummy.

Lots of Skip the Dishes and UberEats guys coming in and out.  Our cook was busy up until we left 15mins before close.

I was saying that if I was retired I could deliver food on my bike for coffee and tarts money.  Be my on boss!

Live the dream.

Hopefully for another 20 more....

NoFrills Driving

After almost 1 year since getting his learners.  And over 10hrs of slow on-line classes.  I moved Kieran over to the virtual class.  So that he could get his drivers license in this decade.

I signed him up for Young Drivers in September of 2021.  By Christmas he was not even at 10% completed for the 30hrs of online classes he had to complete before he could do in-car lessons.

By the time June rolled around.  He'd gotten to 12hrs.  At this rate, he'd have to retake the learners test 3 times before he'd finish.  I even did one section and you can't move to the next section until a timer finishes counting down.  Even if you read it 3 or 4 times.  It was that slow!  I called YD support and they were aware.  I could not believe how slow it was.  I thought 30hrs of classes was 30hrs.  Say 1hr / day.  You'd be done in 30days.  No...it is much slower than that.   So in this day of virtual.  Do the virtual in-class. Kinda oxymoron-ish but hey.  Better than 100% online super duper slow pace class.  It's not even senior citizen pace.  It's like slow death pace.

Last week he got his first in-car lesson.  And he had to go to work right after so we asked the instructor if the lesson could end by dropping him off.  His first pay was in animal crackers.  Guess it was a bonus for being a good worker and coming in on time.

Each in-car lesson is 90min in duration.  Not sure how much time they spent in the parking lot.  But those parked cars are totally in the WAY!  This isn't Need for Speed. No reset here.
I wasn't nervous for him, since he wasn't in my car.  haha.

It's good that he's actually been behind the wheel a few times already.  I took him out several times to get a feel, driving around in large empty parking lots was a good start.  PS4 just isn't the same thing and cottage roads might be a bit advanced.  But he'll get there.

Soon, he'll be driving Mr & Ms Daisy.
