Happy COVID-19 B-Earth Day

It's still lock down-take down here in TO.  And everywhere else in the world except the USA.  I'm not sure what is going on down south of the White Walkers border wall.
Too bad GOT is over.  I could watch that all over again during this pandemic.
They should change the ending and the Mother of All Dragons lives and all is happy.

It's Earth Day and Kieran's Birth Day, and Lock down day(s).

It's been a challenge.  No one wants to get the COVID-19 virus.  I see many wearing the blue latex gloves and masks.  When I was out at the bank doing an errand.  There was a queue, but you needed to register on line using your smart phone. Take a pic of the QR code and viola, URL to a form, enter in your details and you will be called by the staff when they are ready to see you.  It even counts down the queue position.  17 - 9 - ME NEXT!

I wasn't sure what to expect.  But it wasn't that.  In any case, it worked out quite well.  I was impressed.  The line went quickly and bank staff managed people in keeping their 2m distance.

Overall i've been quite pleased with how good our community, our country as a whole, has been during this pandemic.  Unified instead of divided.  Giving and helpful instead of fearful and hoarding.  Staying home for the sake of our health care system and ourselves and our elderly and those with pre-existing health issues.

These are unprecedented times.  We all are affected, some more than others.
We all need to find a way to make a difference.

And this is an unprecedented birthday.  You only turn 15 once.
This one during a pandemic.

Photos

Check this out.  This takes at least 2 days to order a DQ photo cake.
I took a photo right away before it melted.  And before it was eaten.  Good thing we didn't do this last minute like everything else that happens in this house.  We remembered with 2 days to get it.  So it worked out.  Finding a good photo was a challenge.  Good thing this one was pretty good.  Although his head is slightly cut off, but he's smiling and happy and the colours look good.  It was from May 2019 when we were in Italy.

Kieran loves the show "The Office". He watches it constantly.  He's seen the whole thing.  At least 3-5 times.  I never watched it religiously like I have other shows, but it is funny.  It's no wonder it did so well.  I am not sure how the cast kept it together.

His room needs it's own separate ventilation system.
It should be separate from the house altogether.  That's another reno project!

A COVID-19 Free B-day

Wishing Tresa a Happy and Safe COVID-19 Free birthday.

It is what it is.
The sun is out, the air is crisp.  It looks to be a really beautiful day.  What can you do when you live in a bubble with masks and a shield?

Go for an isolated 2+m away from next human walk in the park that is closed off with yellow tape and signage, break the rules and it's a $750 stroll in the park, and then shop at the Cheese Boutique and enjoy the day.

I did manage to change the tires on her car, will get to changing the oil too.   Working on her laundry room reno. Trying to keep busy during this time.

It's a strange world we are living in right now.  Like out of a movie.
There's lots of these virus spreading movies on all streaming services.  And it's 24/7 news on every channel.   Then there's Trump.  He's in a league of his own.
I mean that's all there is now.  But remember it's temporary.  It will get better.  It has to.

For now there's no travel.
No gatherings.
It's a cough in your elbow, wash hands and keep 2+m apart kind of world now.

And that's the good part.
The hard part is happening in the hospitals, where the severe COVID-19 cases are being fought.  Survival mode.  A part of this Pandemic that very few people are seeing.

Our friend's Song and Jinn came by the other day, with gifts of hot food.  It was nice to see them.  And grateful for the gesture.
Don't worry disinfectant wipes and heat kills any virus.

Ingredients for a cake are in the kitchen.
May end up turning into cupcakes to build into a cake with candles.
Wishing for this time in the world to pass.

Happy Birthday Tresa.
Thanks for all you do at the hospital.
And to all the other front line workers putting their lives on the line, to save others.  Thank you.
