Summer Cut

This is only the 3rd time Kieran has had his hair cut in 3 years.

Basically it is about 1.5 years before Kieran's hair is long enough to reach the 8" minimum to donate it. At least this time it's not -30 deg C outside on the coldest day of the year. It's more like the +30 deg C these days.





We had to wait a bit before it was our turn.
This old guy was getting his just before us.  And he got a ZERO guide cut.  The polish was extra so he just opted for a spit and a buffing cuz it would blind the oncoming traffic, if his dome was too shiny.
He was a little hard of hearing so any comments we made he didn't hear. HA.


And as always we bring the enthusiastic assistant/supervisor to hand Fabian the Rainbow-loom elastics. I wondered where Tresa had gotten all those small elastics the last time. Now I know. They weren't from the bundle of flyers that come in every Thursday.


So this cut will be perfect for the hot summer days and nights.










Now he looks like a boy again.







Hair Donation #2

Big hole Kensington Market Violin Concert

Walking from the parking lot to the concert you can't help but notice the big hole at Bathurst and College.   I didn't realize they were doing this.  Good thing Tresa drives every day.  We took a different route to the Church at the NW corner of this spot.

It was actually ok that it was on an evening.  We got back late but at least we have our weekend.   Usually this June concert is on Father's day but this year it was delayed to accommodate a few students.

Some of the students were off to University next year and this would be their last concert.

2nd Yr UP-EL Grad

2nd Year Upper Elementary Grad.
No tuxedo since it was passed on to an 8yr old.
He would have looked like that guy from AC/DC.

Just needed the chapeau.







1st, 2nd and 3rd years.
His buddies are moving on.  Well 2 will be at the same school and 1 will be going to UTS.
But if boys are boys.  These guys might be friends for life.



Each class does a song for the ceremony. (I think Kieran's right under the sunlight. Immediately afterwards it's back to classroom one last time before summer to get down and jiggy with it.
