What the F...
Forty-Eight?
Yep. And Counting.
Been reading Younger Next Year. That was recommended to me, I think Last Year, when I was younger. Ha.
But basically it is saying I can continue to do what I'm currently doing at a high level for many more years.
If you read it, you will know.
If you believe it, it will be true.
If you do it, you will achieve it.
As simple as that.
Well not that simple.
Rest is an important component here.
Taking care of your body is not any more important than when you were younger, it's just that now, recovery takes longer. So being alert to any differences is key, eating right (eating better).
there's no 'i' in my last name |
But it gives me some kind of measuring stick as i get older, that I can and have kicked butts 1/2 my age. I was surprised that I had the 2nd fastest lap on my 24HR team. Of course after I laid down that lap. I wanted to go lie down, til next weekend. But I had 3 more to go. And the other 3 weren't as fast. Mostly cuz it was night and it was slick. The last one, I was tired, but Mother Nature provided some urgency for me to giddy up by raining on my head. And hurry up I did and threw my tent and stuff in to the boot of our car and head to my sister's to collect my kid.
I'm not building that wall! |
For all those that add an 'i' into my last name.
I hate to tell you, but there is no 'i'. And I'm no Mexican. So I'm not building that Trump Wall.
My birthday is another day, to me.
It was a pretty nice day, it was simple, nothing fancy, honouring me, sort of, and being with the people that love me. That's more than I could ask for.
Our old friend and neighbour Suet even came by with her two dogs.
6 month old Cailey and 6 yr old Maggie (the french bulldog looking one).
I even remembered texting the folks that share my birthday.
Which means that I've delayed my memory loss by 1 more year.
Woo hoo!
Happy Birthday

What is this?
If you have never played Telestrations. You are missing out on some good laughs, puzzled looks and a lot of head scratching.
It's not just about skill in drawing, but also using your creativity to do the best with your abilities, and thinking quick and making up whatever BS comes to mind before the sand runs out.
There's a 1min time limit on all drawing and guessing. No letters or numbers are allowed! So you need to think FAST and don't bother erasing, just draw arrows and equal signs to the only thing you drew!
I'm wishing I took photos of some of the sketches. Because they were awesomely done. Not just because they were beautiful, but some were simple and creative. And that's what it takes to play well.
In this game you draw and then you guess what it is. Hoping that the word/phrase you started with is the same at the end of the round. If you think guessing is easy, well not always, depending on who's beside you.
Guessing is an art. Being able to see through the ink smudged crap the person beside you drew and coming up with something that may not be what it's supposed to represent. Sometimes all the time in the world is not enough.
Sometimes you wonder what was going through their head? If anything?
