Where'd you get this stuff?

Hey where did you get all this good food?
And it's wrapped so nicely and colourful.

I never get anything like this at home.
I get all this organic crap. Like the apples that had clay on it. Who eats dirty apples? Except the worms.

I'll come back and visit again as long as you have this stuff kicking around.

And you still get deh-deh?

Lucky you. That's off limits for me now.
I've been banned.

Only goats milk for me. yuk.
But papa sometimes shares ice cream with me.
Cuz I bug the heck out of him.

What's ICE CREAM?
Is that like frozen deh-deh?

CSI: Criscoe

Something wasn't right this morning.
I noticed something missing. Should I report it as a break and entering?
There were clues everywhere on the carpet.

Theft under 5 bucks.

This is how we feel.

Triple decker

This is what happens when I'm not watching closely in the mornings.
It becomes a self-serve joint.
He's tall enough now to get whatever is close to the edge on the kitchen table.

Dinner with the president

This is him. El Presidente. He ate my spring rolls.

He is a Micro-Geek lackey no more! He has crossed the bridge into the promised material land and is chasing the Great American Dream.

Welcome to the real world.

Although a Canuck down to his red and white DNA. He is becoming more americanized.

But it doesn't matter, it was good to see him.
We'll come visit you in Seattle when you're not being a nomad.

The Thinker

Kieran was doing his best impersonation of the first man to step on the moon, or is it the Heisman trophy (he's missing the ball and the straightarm), or is it 'The Thinker'.
Whatever he's doing even the wind was not going to ruin this performance.

You know what. I think he was pooping.
I couldn't hear the grunting over the windnoise and the kids playing.

Happy Belated Sukaboy day

This dozy kid turned 6 yesterday.

Happy Sukaboy day Tyler.

I didn't forget. I just didn't call.
I don't have any recent photos either.

Happy Sukaboy Days

Today was a busy day. After a quick power nap, we were off to a combined 1 yr and Big 4-0 birthday party at Jungle Cubs on Bayview.

Dave wanted the Jungle Cub location for him.
He was tired of McDonald's Playland.

It was a pretty good setup. Kids can play, while the adults pig out on pizza and other junk food.

Even some of the adults were using their size to their advantage if there was a toy they wanted to play with.

WHAT? Apples again?

Yep mama had planned a day for all of us to pick apples.
AGAIN.

Can you see the excitement on our faces. :-|
We were really looking forward to it.
Especially after the good night's sleep we had. All I remember was some small and ice cold clammy hands smacking me in the face. I tried to turn over but the same hands just grabbed my hair to pull it back to where it was.

I was ready to lug around at least 5 bags of apples in each hand. I was really looking forward to eating at least 5 a day for the next month.

Tresa loves to pick apples. She usually eats at least 1 apple per week. The rest she generously leaves for me to consume until apples are coming out whole out of my body.

Anyways, we went to Chudleigh's apple orchard with the three amigos.
Where, eating the apples was happening more than picking.
Gilbert was even eating apples that were on the ground. Only because
they were Fuji apples. Who cares if it's slightly decayed. He's asian, he's used to it from eating in chinatown. His body has built up the anti-bodies that fight rotten food.

At least the weather was good, because if it was raining and cold, these
guys would be wearing the same thing.

Well the only thing different this time was that there was a petting zoo full of farm animals. But this one was full of two legged ones. All with cameras.

Ded dek's Sukaboy day

Another year has come and gone. Happy Birthday!
Don't let that single candle fool you.

He's not that young.

That's what happens in retirement.
Everyday is Tuesday and you lose count of the years
or there's not enough room on the cake.

A Mars thanksgiving

We went to Mars and saw a whole bunch of asians taking photos.

I think they were looking for condo development there.

We were up in Ninie's area for a family thanksgiving get together.

Lou and I went cycling to build up our appetite. But with all the hills, it just made me more tired. Than I already was.

How about dem apples?

Hey dat ain't no apple.
Dat's a kitty cat.

We took Kieran for a day of picking apples at an organic apple orchard.

But this little kitten we happened upon at another farm we visited on our way home.

And we did a little taste testing just to make sure that the apples we were picking were passing the Quality Control.

I had never heard of these varieties so we had to make sure.

So we started picking and soon it was getting crowded in the wagon.

Most of the apples on the lower branches had been picked clean. So I had to climb the tree in order to reach the big ones on the upper branches.

Kieran wanted to be a monkey just like his papa, but he needs to wait a little while longer so that his limbs can grow a little.

Good thing the trees aren't very tall, but it's a long drop for a little person.
Well the grass was long and the ground was soft. Mostly because of all the fallen apples that had gone mushy.

Actually he was having a tantrum and doing the whip the head back move.
We offered Kieran more crackers and he was right as rain.
It was a good thing we were done picking apples.

We visited this other farm on our way home. This was where we happened on the orange kitty, as well as a pumpkin patch, cornfield maze, hay humps, tractor ride and a hungry baby goat.
Ah don't worry. It didn't bite Kieran's finger, it was looking for milk.

If it had bitten him. That goat would have been in a roti in no time.

Then we saw the Headless horseman's offspring.

Hallowe'en is fast approaching you know.

Farewell to Old Faithful

Here's the Craigslist post:
For Sale: 1990 Corsica LTZ
Well taken care of.
Lady driven to the ground.
But it has new tires.

It's GONZO! SOLD. We got the asking price, which was an infinite amount more than it's Red Book value. When I was at the Motor Vehicle and License office picking up the Used Vehicle Information Package I asked what it's book value was.

It was ZERO. NADA. NOTHING. Hey I paid 20 bucks for that UVIP. I didn't even get reimbursed for that. Where's my cut?

In the end we couldn't give it away. The car was so stubborn, it wouldn't even give up it's plate. Mike had to chisel it out.

Actually we couldn't give it away because we couldn't get it certified. It was rusting everywhere in the undercarriage.

Mike said it was unsafe to drive. Hit a big enough pot hole and it would have broken in two.

So we had to sell it as is and many thanks to Carmen and Mike for getting us more than the Red Book value on the car.

It's served it's purpose and you'll probably hear Tresa talking about it still. I do.
"It's a GOOD car, it's big inside, I can fit my bike inside, me an poo poo went to the cottage last year"

But in the in end it had to go. Why. It had American heater/AC controls. So it didn't make any sense. Turn on the AC and you get a blast of musty air. The freon was all gone. And most importantly - it had no cup holders. I kept spilling my Tim Horton's coffee on my lap. OWCH!

So we hung out at Mike's shop chit chatting for a while and checking out a future vehicle.

Hmmm....I like it.

Can anyone guess what it is?

Run for an Open space

Hey that seagull is eyeing my bagel.
Get away from me bird.

Talk about crowded places.

It was the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Women were everywhere. Which wasn't exactly a bad thing.

Unless someone was wearing spandex when they shouldn't.

And just in case some one was in danger or hurt by a stampede of people in spandex.

The Asian Super Friends were there.
And they arrived in a customized honda civic.
